    Bongo now in transparent colour ?

    Guess what i found when i was searching the musicman site

    Ernie Ball® Music Man® Bongo 5 Bass Guitar

    i was searching colours of the bongo and then i saw walnut burst...a transparent colour

    i thought bongo's weren't offered in transparent?

    i tryed the bongo 4, 5 and 6 and they all say that walnut burst is available for a bongo as a colour


    so i havent heard anything about a new colour for bongo's
    is this for real or is this a bug?

    still beta?? i went to the site through musicman itself, so i figured it wasn't a beta anymore, cuz if i knew if it still was a beta then i would not have made the threat

    If so, it isn't transparent on a bongo.

    Ok...maybe I'm wrong...

    This year's LE color is called Sequoia Gold, so I don't think that's it.

    I may be wrong, but I read somewhere that basswood bodies do not look good as a transparent finish. Something about the grain. Just my 2 cents.

    yes thats why im so suprised to see it there


    maybe on a dark top you would not notice the grain so much?

    the new site's database driven and my guess is that there may be a data entry error that's led to walnut burst showing up as an avail finish

    Reading comprehension FTW!

    He isn't talking about the Bongo picture on that page, he is referring to the section with available colours where Walnut Burst is listed as an option.

    Most likely its an error, don't get your hopes up.
