    Pizza before bed...nightmare

I got home late from work last night and was starving...ate a lot of leftover pizza.

Dreamed that I walked into my local GC...it was about the size of a Best Buy instead of the little hole in the wall that it actually is, but still had the limited selection of EBMM stuff on the wall. I noticed a little doorway in the corner (kinda like the one leading to the adult section at the video store...very inconspicuous), so I walked in and was immediately thrilled by the sight of 3 mahogany Bongo5s just like Dave LaRue's, but without the cherry in the finish. Then, upon closer inspection, I saw that they were all lefty's and all I could think was wtf?... I looked a little higher on the wall and saw a righty...instant thrill once again, but when I pulled it off the wall turned it toward myself to have a closer look and admire it's beauty I noticed that the lower horn was completely broken off! The screams of horror in my head then slowly faded into the sound of my alarm clock...back to reality...

    That's horrific.

I had one similar to that:

I was on a tour bus, and I owned 5 EBMMs, 2 bongos and 3 stingrays.

they all fell out of the bottom of the bus. I watched them get run over. I screamed loud enough to wake myself up.

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

your dream kinda was reality for me, i was overseas and walked into a music shop, saw an axis sport for an awesome price, was about to buy, pulled out the cash and then i saw there were stress cracks and a major chip in the paint..

but my story didnt have a conspicuous adult section, wish it did though...

I neglected to mention that my first thought after "wtf!" was "I gotta tell Chuck about these".

I've had three Sting Ray dreams.

The first one is recurring. Through remarkable, unanticipated and always convoluted circumstances I become aware of the whereabouts of my long lost treasured B006310, and set about reacquiring it. This would make a great movie, but since I never recover the bass it would ultimately be a tragedy...I haven't had this dream in awhile.

In the second one, I arrived home to find all of my Stingrays stolen. I remember thinking, in the dream, "Well my B00 bass is still being refinished in Canada, and there's a 30th hanging at GC, so I'll be OK..."

In the third one, within the past month, I arrived home carrying my '79 and discovered another burglary, and thought, also in the dream, "I hope Pete gets my redwood BFR pretty soon..."

My Stingray dreams involve gutwrenching loss and actual heartbreak, just like real life! Woo hoo!
