Question Question about the colour of a particular Stingray

    Hi all,

I'm looking at a Stingray with a red opaque paint job and a white MOTO toilet seat, matching headstock.

    Model # is 19-3262-700

Serial is Z602A602 (I looked for this serial # on a couple websites and came up with nada).

Can anyone tell me if this is one of the LE models? Is it Radiance Red or Candy Apple Red?

    Thanks,
    Phil

Check the serial number again. It should be prefixed with an "E" followed with six digits.

the serial was read off to me and he confirmed my writing. There's no way I can contact him until Monday. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say:

If the headstock is red, then it's definitely not an LE. The Radiance Red LE had a black headstock with golden MusicMan label.

    Fate?

I stepped off and let it sell.

A few weeks ago I went to a sale and they had the bass again! I hemmed and hawed for hours on the thing, and had a couple other people very keen while I was deciding. At the end of the day I thought I was being a bit greedy, since I already had a Stingray, so I offered it to the guy who had been hovering over me all day asking me if I bought it yet. He asked his friend, who said he didn't want it anymore. I don't understand that tactic, but OK, fine. So the bass wanted to visit ME. Even to the point of a lower offer at the end of the day.

It's now part of my stable.

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!
