I have posted these images elsewhere, but I just realized it's here they belong.
First is Bongo 5 HH in Desert Gold W/ Black Ice PG (thanks jack!)
Second is Bongo 5 HH in Envy Green
Unfortunately it looks like these two are the only Bongos I'll have for quite some time, so although I would pretty much do anything for a Dargie Bongo 5 H I think I will have to pass. The money I don't even have is needed elsewhere (like a new roof and stuff...)
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.
Bongo 5 HH, Envy Green
Bongo 5 H, Blue Pearl
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck

I've just realized that my Bongos aren't present in this gallery.

Here's what I have right now.
The original colour was black. I got it for about USD 200 in very bad shape. The previous owner removed the original painting on his own hoping to have a nice natural version, but the woods weren't that nice. First thing I did was send it to a luthier (only neck and body, all metal parts were cleaned and bruched by me).
I'll add give you the serial number tomorrow.

...and here are the pics of my SR 1978 (AUG1978 stamped on neck).
Full view, "it's sleep time!"
Personal identity
Perfect neck...
Refretted in 1998: medium frets are simply perfect!
The pick-up, the real growl generator!!
The rusty bridge, I had to remove the damper pads...
...chrome after almost 30 years looks like this:
...it has a nice back too!
Why are they using 6 screws today?
Sorry, I couldn't resist: I love that logo!
Greets from Switzerland.
