Congrats on the bass. I was just at Guitar Showcase a few weeks ago. I remember seeing that bass. I think it was the first desert gold bass I had seen in person. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I'm a left hander who plays right handed, so I guess that makes me confused.

I'll repeat it again and again: Those instruments are made of wood. Wood is a natural material, growing exposed to weather depending on light, water and nutrition form the soil. No two pieces are exactly the same. And therefore no two instruments can be exactly the same. Every wooden instrument is unique. That's part of what makes them fun to collect.

You know the rule around these parts... no pics no proof.

btw Oli, if you set the selector to pos. 3, "All four barrels" the SR really shines. If I could install another pup in the middle (tribute to Bootsy's basses), I would... now if I only had a 1x15 to attach add to my cabinet....

Hm. I especially dig the sounds on of each of the H alone, and the inner coils together. The HH is nice but a bit too clean for my taste, but it is growing on me the more I play it. The outer coils together is just not so much my cup of tea. But that might change as well.

Regarding amps... can't wait to hear that beast through my MarkBass stack... but I'm reluctant to take it to a band rehearsal, too many basses this year already, them bandmates start to pull faces and make odd remarks...

I've never quite gotten into the sound of just the inner or just the outer halves of the PUPs. If I want motown, I pick neck only, if I need growl, bridge only and if I need something in the middle, then I give the audience "All Four Barrels".
