    Question Bongo 6

    Hi!

I am new to this forum, im from Quebec, Canada.
I want to buy a Bongo 6 strings. I already have the chash.

I heard that it can take a lots of time to get the bass if i order it. Is this true ? I really want it but if i have to wait 6 months to get it, its a bit long.

Call Musique Richard Gendreau at 418-522-3877. Looks like they're the dealer in Quebec, although there might well be others.

Some of our Canadians will know, I bet.

    Hey Spot,
Welcome to the forum. I ordered my Bongo 6 fretless and it took a little less than 4 months. I found my Bongo 6 fretted at a shop just North of TO. and that took much less time. Either way, the Bongo 6 is worth the wait and if you order it, you get it the way you want (colour, pickguard, pickup config, etc).

hey, thanks for the quick answers.

The problem is that i dont have any basses ATM, i stop playing 3 years ago cause i was in a kind of music burnout (lol) and i sold all my basses and my amp.

I will try to get one from my local music store if they have any in stock and if they dont, i will try other canadian music store.

    Thanks again

Tu peut essayer Steve's ou Italmelodie a Montréal et il y'a aussi Long & McQuade partout en Canada. La plus proche est a Ottawa.

Je n'ai pas vu un Bongo avec 6 cordes dans cette region.

Wow, what a great way to get back to playing! and if you can't find one in a shop, the wait will definitely be worth it!
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

The Only thing i hope is that i will be able the change my view about the bongo look, i dont thing they are ugly, but i think they are really weird looking basses.

They are different looking, I went through that but really once you get used to it you will see the beauty behind the design and really admire it. Haha, now I think that F****** look weird.

Wow! good to see a fellow from Quebec!
I think they got one in stock at Richard Gendreau in quebec city; you might wanna check!
If i'm not mistaken, its an H/S carbon blue pearl with an abalone pickguard. Good luck with your purchase and let us see the thing when you get it!

C'est un bon choix man! Je trouvais ma bongo 4 vraiment laide quand je l'ai achetée mais, crois moi, on change vite d'idée!
