Question: Bongo HH EQ stuff

Well, I obviously have a different tone in my head

The only Bongo I've try recently was nice blue HSp 5 model.
I was first balanced pan pot about 80% to bridge humbacker, than added 25% bass and treble boost.
Cut a high middle about 20% and add low middle about 20%!
Piezo all the way boosted!

After that trying to play "Chicken" standard, and some other fingering schemes, it was pretty something! Very nice!

You misread me - nothing is dimed. The pickup pan knob is in the middle - both pickups blended fully, and all of the EQ knobs are flat (centred, in the detent position ie. "half way") apart from treble which is on "0"

Actually, I didn't misread you but my definition of "dimed" apparently is different. To me, if any eq knob is either set to min or max it is "dimed". Perhaps that isn't the correct definiton.

I've always thought of the center detents as the "0" setting and anything beyond that was cut or boost depending if one is going to min or max respectively.

In any case, I appreciated you sharing your settings as it inspired me to try a few things.

To me, it's "dime" == $.10 == 10 == set at 10, as in full on.

Full off is 0 . . . .
