    Stolen StingRay

Hi all, I just want to put this out anywhere I can think of. My 1987 StingRay was stolen on 2/13/09 from my apartment in Indianapolis, IN.

    Details:

    > Serial #25608
    > Neck dated July 19, 1987
    > Body dated July 14, 1987
    > Two-band EQ
    > Jack on front
    > Natural finish
    > Rosewood fretboard
    > Black single-ply pickguard
    > Trans. headstock, no decal on back

    Thank for looking.

Mark, best of luck in getting this one back. Might also want to post on the sticky at the top called "STOLEN MusicMan instruments".
Keep an eye on the local Craigslist and other music sites as well as let pawn shops and others know about it.
I had stuff of mine that was stolen show up a YEAR later on Craigslist, and another pawn shop listed stuff of mine on Ebay without knowing it was stolen. A police report is also key.
Best of luck in getting it back.
I've seen a million basses, and I rocked them all!
Currently rocking with Shakedown, exclusively on a 2008 Candy Red Bongo.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of Craigslist yet. That's really helpful, and I appreciate it. m~

just take a day to get everything organized. really not fun for anyone. it's a good idea to take photos of your gear and a photo of the serial number of each item...

I'm a fan of the late 80's Stingray basses and I'm always looking on ebay and craigslist in case one that catches my eye shows up...i'll keep a lookout for suspect basses

    good luck

Mark, you would not be playing with Cousin Roger would you? If so, PM me, I believe we know each other. Sorry about your bass, that was an awesome 2 band. I will keep my eyes open.

Keep an eye out for the surrounding areas craigslist. I know that some gear was stolen in Charleston a while back and showed up on the Atlanta craigslist. The thief thought he could get away with it buy selling it to different city, but he was caught.
