I have a Bongo 5 HHp, and it's a great bass, though in retrospect I kinda wish I'd gone for the HSp, to get that single coil sound in the neck position.
I just got a Bongo 5 HH in the Desert Gold. My first MM bass too.
The dual pup configuration gets a 4 band EQ - the single pup is a 3 band. So, I would suggest the dual pups.
I just wish that they had coil taps so I could go from humbucker to single coil sounds - and mix n match.
oi.. slapping on the hh bongo isnt hard.. its the popping that might be troublesome
you just have to find the arm position that allows your finger to "enter" at the right spot..
i was lucky enough to just strap the bass on and be exactly at that spot without any discomfort of any kind.. whatsoever..
actually, its not quite true.....
my wallet was in discomfort but i am its master so it had to obey my rules
MrM
just put flats on the bongo!!

trussrod adjustment:

less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!
