    Rosewood frets and Lemon Oil

I read the FAQ's but was wondering if there is a supplier that sells a high grade lemon oil which from what I understand would have 90% or more of D-Limonene in it?

Lots of stores will tell you that they are selling 100% pure lemon oil which is BS from what I am told. How do we know we are getting the correct product?

The Ernie Ball fretboard Wonder Wipes work fine for me.

    A kinder, gentler collection...

MSDS sheet says it is orange oil & mineral oil, not lemon. Do they (EB) sell lemon oil?

    Jar,

Try to get past the lemon oil thing. Wonder wipes are supposedly easier on frets than lemon oil anyway.

Another plus one for the Wonder Wipes. If I only have to do one bass, I put the slightly used WW in a ziplock because I can get another five or six basses out of it.

Wonder Wipes do the job - I don't bother with anything else now.

The lemon idea was what is recommended by EB FAQ page.

Someone should change the FAQ part of the Ernie Ball website to recommend the wipes vs specifically recommending lemon oil. This way instead of recommending one thing and selling another, they will both match and everyone is happy.

Hopefully this can be done easily. I will now order the wipes from my local dealer.

Lemon or orange, both are citrus oils and both work great on rosewood. Orange smells better.

So, if you use lemon oil does that mean your bass will be a real lemon?
