bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.
Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck
Heinz The Wonder Bass, going back to Jack...
I've been avoiding the idea of a Bongo. Not saying I've been anti-Bongo exactly, but...I don't know.
But that thing has caused me to rethink the whole business. Black and tort always rules, but somehow that rosewood neck just completes the package perfectly.
exactly, and when i saw all those pics from BPs bass, that's when i KNEW the colour combo i wanted....i'm loving it![]()

- Ritch
Bongo 4H - Limited Fritz the Kat Lime Green - Kermit
Bongo 4H - Dargie Delight
Sterling 4H - Trans Purple
25th 4HSS Maple/Quilt
A ton of MarkBass stuff
I used to have a really nice Sterling 4 Black, tort, birdseye neck. Until I fell for the Bongo that is.
2009 White Pearl Sterling BFR Rosewood Neck
Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0
Ampeg 8x10 cab
Han shot first.
I hear you Jack. Plotting as we write. Can't see myself getting a rosewood neck version out here in the colonies, but a black fiver with tort, that should be achievable.
go for it....bongos are what basses should be.

this bongo is opening up to me every single day.
The EQ provides tons of possibilities. I've been playing mostly this weekend on some covers and i scooped the mids & highs and added some bass boost and played with my thumb on the neck, right where the pickguard ends. Sweet goodness. very gentle, round and bassy tone. I'm not missing any tonal possibilities. I'm really impressed of the effectiveness of the EQ. It is an EBMM bass on steroids. It's just more and better than anything i've played before.
the neck feels sooo good. Very fast and super nice to the touch. some BFR lovin' for sure.
i was playing over random songs in my playlist yesterday and decided to cover a Nine Inch Nails song from the Ghost album. You can ear my new bongo in there. Complete with my inferior playing and loud hand movement. I only added some reverb and compression.

i did this recording just for my own fun. Still nothing wrong in sharing it. Yes the synth sound/noise is intentional and of my own making.

Fidooda mate whats goin on? You get a bongo, great. but then you do something that is unspeakable you try to sell/trade your 20th?![]()
well i said so when i ordered the bongo! i know it's a shame but i'm no bass collector. I'll see if something cool comes up, if not i'll reconsider.
