Help a fellow MM player, opinions sought

Due to back problems I am downsizing in weight.

Mesa Boogie 400+ sold, replaced with an 800RB less than half the weight.

In less than 24 hours my Eden D410xlt was sold.

Now I must replace the cab.

I know that there is probably nothing light out there that could replace the Eden which is a fantastic cab. I do need some opinions on what some of my comparable options are.

I did not want to sell either one but my stuff is kept on the 2nd floor and my back is beyond repair.

So the bottom line is that I need your help and I would appreciate any input in matching the 800rb with a new cab(s)

I was thinking two 112's like Avatar, GK or Epifani 112. Would love a Bergantino but not in the budget.

Please, any thoughts would be appreciated.

From a just a weight stand point those new digital power section amplifiers have it. As for cabs anything non MDF (particle board) and Neo (neodymium magnet) speakers. or even something like a JBL EON (passive) P.A speaker will do great and be light. Many manufactures make them.

Cabinets are like strings and underwear - everyone has their own idea of what works, what's comfortable, what's sexy.

I like the Markbass cabinets a LOT. And they are light, extremely light.

I might have a slight preference for my big, heavy, louder than Woodstock Ampeg 4-10 cabinet, but you know what? I ain't humping that thing no mo'. The difference is just not enough.

Try the Markbass. You might be surprised.

I had an Avatar 212 that I liked a lot. Cheap, light, sounded good to me.

Gone way, way radical since, though (B*se). Not appropriate to discuss here due to the extreme derailment that would ensue.

I called Avatar Monday & Tuesday and got a busy signal so tonight i called my friend who is a GK dealer and he ordered two GK 112 neo-II cabs for me. They are very light at 30lbs and he gives me a great price. Not many reviews for these cabs as the neo-II's are relatively new but i have decided to match the brand for my head.
