I put the tuner to it after one show and it was a hairline off dead center Bb...which is what we tune to. One bassist actually told me he has no idea how that stays in tune. So...we got to talking EBMM's. I am actually surprised to see hardly any EBMM's out here. I saw one and it was a dude in a cover band. Most peeps out here use other brands....but...I like to represent!
Tune to Bb? How much setup work did you have to do?What strings are you using? Tension issues??? Sorry - got my inner-geek going. We tune down to Eb and all my strings are fine except my E... a little floppy (no comments). EB strings have been the best for me but still can't get the tension I like. Would be curious about your setup.

That sure is one distressed bass. I've heard of "buckle rash," but certainly not "armor rash."

Did you ever get a replacement knob? I noticed that one's missing.

I experimented a bit to get Warhammer down to a science. I use Power Slinky 55-110. I found them to be best for me. I tried using a 5 string pack and only the top 4 strings, but, I did not like it.

Set up was a bit more than what I wanted to deal with and I know a super repair tech out here. He works out of his house and he set up everything perfectly. The guy is a genius at this stuff and I knew this would be a bit of work and I worried about screwing it up...so...I did the smart thing and let him do it.

Tension wise...not bad at all. The strings are not "floppy" and I have had zero tuning and stability issues. Again, my tech really knows what he is doing. He asked all kinds of questions and made sure I was good to go. He even went to a few shows to make sure I was good to go. How is that for service.

Did you have to hold a gun on him to get him to touch that bass?

Most repair men would run so fast if you showed them that Koogs.

    You're killing me. LOL

Actually TK...the tech knew who I was. He has seen us play before and he was recommended by a friend. He did say that was the most damage/mojo he has seen on a bass though...lol

Smallmouth - our tuning is weird and it is Bb, F, Ab, Eb.

Wow, I would think most people would have a reaction to breaking a tuning key.
What kind of tuning is that? Is it Dropped... or Open... or Standard X number of steps down, or what?
I checked out the music on your myspace a while ago Koogs, a bit too heavy for me personally, but I'll be picking up a copy when it comes out... I know a guy who might like it too, I'll make sure to show him

Koogs, I told my guitarist/brother about your show this weekend and he said if he can get away from the in laws he'll check yall out. He's a member of the forums too and a fellow EBMM player to so treat him nicely if you see him lol.
