Quick Simple Question (Screws)
Hey guys,
Signed up here today to ask a very very simple question. I have a Black Musicman Stingray with a b/w/b Black pickguard. A few years ago I messed around with the screws, swapping silver for black etc.
Problem is the black screws deteriorate too quickly and make the bass look poorly looked after. I wish to use the same hardware as the bass had when I bought it.
What colour are the screws on the pickguard and pickup meant to be ?

Welcome to the forum,
I have the same colour bass/pickguard. The screws for the pickguard and pickup on mine are black. I haven't owned since new but I am confident that that is how it came from the factory.

It might be worth mentioning that it was buit in 2004. I have heard black screws were only used on the Stingrays in the mid 90s. Anybody think its chrome ?

I have an '08 SR4 HH, black with a black/white/black pickguard. The screws are chrome.
