Not me... it's a great excuse for a new bass!!! Plus, it would be awesome on a bass with a pair (or three ) of 25th humbuckers! I say this, then MM will figure out a way to top that, so I sit back now, wait for the offering and ask for credit card line increase.

    Hi Oli,

I don't see this as being able to work for a retro-fit. You would have to drill into the upper horn for the switch. Although, I did not see inside the cavity, my guess is that there are some differences there too.

Just another way to fuel the desire my friend!

Thanks. I'd been interested to have a GC installed in my Ebony Rays and the 25th, but not with drilling. They are acoustically the best sounding basses I've ever played. And that's why I'd like to access more possibilities of their electric sound.

The possibilities with the GameChanger are virtually limitless, the demo I got at NAMM was flat out unreal, and it was surprisingly easy to use. Everything BP has said about this is true, it is a real GameChanger!

I DO agree with this, but I wouldn't dream of chopping my 25th BFR even for GC's sake, which is why I'm looking forward to something just as, or more awesome to complement the new technology.

there is a lot of things that can be done with pull/push switches.. who says you need the switch on the horn?

what im saying: /me also wants a retro fit kit

    MrM
just put flats on the bongo!!
just put roundwounds on your fretless!!

    eb customer support:
    E-mail: musicman_customerservice@ernieball.com
    Telephone: +1 866-823-2255

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

The first post by BP showed it in a 25th guitar...no upper horn switch on that one.

Maybe a retro-kit would be possible for some models but not others. I'm kinda with Flip on this one...it gives me a reason to buy a new guitar...

Why don't all of you guys wish for a retrofit in one hand, and poop in the other and see which fills up first?

They don't sell replacement aftermarket pickups--why in the world would you think they would sell something aftermarket that is being referred to as a "Gamechanger?" They don't have authorized repair people in every state and country in the world--why do you think they'd sell something like this for every schmo musician to take a crack at it with a soldering iron or install it in non-MM instruments and dilute the product/brand?

Why is this difficult to understand?

Not difficult to understand at all, man You make a very valid point.

I think some of us just like to dream. Those dreams may never come true, but they are our dreams nonetheless.

BP I hope you have your patent lawyers working overtime on this. I think it's worth a lot more than guitar-auto-tuning, and it'll be even more important in 10 years when things are that much more digital, but we players still want our instrument signals to be pure/analog.
