I'm not Rod, although I did play him once in a Made-For-TV movie about wombats eating Mel Gibson's head, but I'd say those are....humbuckers.
Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.
You were in that movie too, I played Wombat #8... small world...
they say absence makes the heart grow fonder... so go away!
Current basses: None(but looking)
Previous basses:
Stratus Blue Sparkle 'Ray with maple and matched stock (owned twice, sold twice, and regretted selling twice)
Lava Pearl 'Ray with maple and matched stoch
Lava Pearl Bongo 4HH
Carbon Ble Pearl Sterling with maple board
LOL
.
Sabre PUPs....
The neck PUP (on the left in pic below) is similar to the Fender J Bass PUPs.
The PUP on the right is actually from a 'Ray. The Sabre bridge PUP is similar to it but slightly smaller. Both Sabre PUPs are the same size.
.
but do the pickups have covers on them or what? i have seen some that look like they do
Not sure I'm with you?
The pic above is the underside views only. The top view of the PUPs is as in the pic below.
.
I think he's mostly asking about the exposed versus non-exposed pole pieces.
