My Big Al SSS (Neck/Middle/Bridge) gives me:
the absolutely wonderfully unique "Big Al sound" with all PU-knobs out (M & B in series)
a perfect Jazz Bass sound with B & N on with both its active and passive variants.
a good P-Bass sound (M on)
an ok Stingray sound (M & B on in parallel)
a not quite so good shortscale-mudbucker sound (N on) (how should he)
a not quite so good G & L -ish doublebucker sound (N & M & B on)
Does the Single-H Big Al nail the Stingray-sound and the "Big-Al-sound"?
I doubt it has as much charakter as the Big-Al-SSS with all its knobs out, but we will hear your comparison, won't we, stereo_monkey?
