The seller, Steel Sound, "builds" their own "custom" cabs, etc. So what are you really getting here??

The cabs are 3/4 MDF - Industry standard on pro cabs is 3/4 Birch. I'm having some custom cabs made as I type, and the sample rig they let me use for a few weeks was 3/4 birch - The whole setup kicked @ss!!!

Buying it without "sampling" it? Nope. If it was something I was familiar with that would be one thing. But who's Legion? IF Legion is made by Steel Sound, then who are they? There's nothing worse than a cheap cab.

Plus, 30 and 40 oz. magnets isn't a lot. Usually you're looking at 80 - 100+ oz. magnets in a professional level cabinet.

Well, MDF performs better than ply as it is less resonant, but for touring cabs they are not as sturdy. I wouldn't count on them to hold up for too long. 30oz magnets are nothing to worry about, but only if they are Neodymium. A mud magnet of that weight on a 10" driver smacks of price-driven engineering. At these prices, I can't imagine them using N/D drivers. The 10" N/D driver speced for my horn cab costs $150 alone.

In a nutshell, at this price, you can't expect anything but cheap drivers in MDF cabs. Price 3/4" Baltic Birch lately? They may sound good, and they might be put together right, though. At least they use 3/4" MDF.
