Talking Dream Music Man Bass That Will Neve Happen

This the my dream Music Man bass that will never happen.

    Music Man SLO Special HH
    3 band EQ
2 Volume one for each pickup
    Active/Passive switch
    Rosewood fingerboard
    Olive Gold
    Gold Swirl pickguard

As you can see this would never happen mainly because of two volumes with 3 band EQ. Anyway that would be my dream Music Man bass and I know I could not get the electronics that way but I can dream and I am still saving for an SLO Special HH.

What would be your dream Music Man bass if you could get it done anyway that you wanted?

A scheduled appointment with 20 Bongo 5HHp in various shades of black at SLO.

Drive down with my gear and my personal Bongo

spend morning picking the lightest of the Bongos and trying each for 15minutes

Debate with the boys about whether I could get an ebony fingerboard or if I should try a rosewood neck.

Have lunch with Sterling and the design team talking about music. Preferably over BBQ and beer.

Resume afternoon trying all basses and having minor tweaks to setup on final two by the fanatical EB staff.

Leave with the best of the 20... hopefully narrowed to one.

Well, you asked and it is MY dream - I dream big

Having said that, my dream bass is my Bongo. If it shaved a pound it would be perfect.

First, let me once again say that I have more than I need and certainly more than I ever imagined - more than I deserve, really. I have been and continue to be a fortunate little knucklehead.

My dream Music Man basses are sitting right here beside me. If this were all there ever was, I'd still be way ahead.

But all this new stuff! These new models!

The Big Al makes me all weak-in-the-knees. I was one of those guys who long ago was saying to BP, "That would be THE coolest bass." And as cool as I thought it would be?

It's way cooler than that. (They're good at this.)

So I'd go for the "light" African mahogany body Big Al like the one that Michael Rhodes is getting (check the thread if you haven't already - it is dead cool). At first, I thought I'd want dual humbuckers, but having lived with Rex's Big Al for two weeks now, I don't think I'd fool around with the single coils. They just WORK. Martini glass inlays on rosewood.

Oh, and it would bright yellow, like a Mr Horsepower - and with flames!

Hey, we're dreaming, right? And it would be a fiver.

Mwah! How's THAT for going big?

    Jack

they already have all the dream basses available. Only think I would say is color options.. Original dargies looked too sweet and red with a splash of milk sounded amazing, they already did seafoam so in my book I'm as happy as can be.

A black fretless Cutlass II reissue, perhaps.....?

I´m very happy with the instruments that are available now. A BigAL or a 25th Anniversary has all the the options and features that I´ll ever wish for, to be perfectly honest..... But I still love and I´m very happy with a regular Stingray too. The ultimate bass for me.

    Sincerely//Jan

I'm really digging my black/figured maple SR4. so i think i would go the opposite, and would really love a vintage trans white alder body SR with a carbon fibre neck and black hardware.
Music is food for the soul...And i'm hungry.

How about a fast Sterling-Neck, Sterling electronics and Sterling Pickup paired with a Stingray body?
I like the looks of the SR-body better than the Sterling's offset-body

    H-Model fourstring would do...

    Alright....

A "Mets" royal blue paint job with a orange pearl pickguard & mini NY (Mets insignia) fret markers, on a Stingray 4, that has the same configuration as the new Anniversary Series (2 single coil + on humbucker)

    mmmmm....sweet.

I know my Mets sucked this year, but I've been a die-hard fan since I was a little kid.

SSS Sterling, 4-string, all rosewood neck, ash body, deep trans blue, black pickguard, passive tone roll-off.

All in all, though, I'm happy with what I have. My Sterling HS has become my go-to bass for everything. I just can't put it down. I'm in love.
