I am so thrilled with my 25th anniversary 5-string HSS that I can't begin to explain it. Both guitarists in my band are in love with the tone that this bass puts out. I try to rotate basses thru to different gigs, but the guitarists are insisting I bring the 25th as much as possible.

So, here are a couple pics from our last gig. A special thanks to all the fine folks at EBMM for the forward thinking that brought such an awesome bass to reality.

Poppa, I have to play a 5-string with this band for some of the more modern rock stuff. I was playing Laklands, a passive Darryl Jones 5 and an active 55-02. Bought a Sadowsky Modern5 also. Already had a Dargie I SR5HH which became the #1 with this band before the 25th arrived. I recently received my Dargie II Sterling 5H and am really digging it as well.

I enjoy switching among different basses, just for a change of pace each gig. It's gotten to the point that I really miss the tone and the versatility of the 25th when it's home and another bass is at the gig.

Thanks again for building such great basses! I'm hooked.

I make my decision, that will be my next bass for sure, only I prefer maple FB!

sb69coupe, what's Your favorite switch setup, if isn't secret?

One more Q:
Could switch position of bridge humbucker replace bridge single coil switch position on Sterlings, or it's even better?

I saw some video clips on YT, but presenters are not something, so I wonder...?

keko, my band has two very awesome guitarists, and I need to cut through the mix to make my presence felt. For about 75% of the songs I am using the bridge humbucker in parallel mode, active, with the EQ flat. The other 25% of the time I alternate between the neck or the middle single coil, solo'd for more bluesy numbers.

For reference, I play through a Markbass SA450 and Avatar Neo210 with the EQ set flat on there as well.
