    spring damper bridge

    hi all
    i got a 2001 stingray

    is it possible to fit the older bridge with the string mutes dampers what ever you call them onto an 01 bass

    also is it possible to get an older bridge with these still from ernie ball and will it be a straight swap

    onlt i had these on my old bass and i really miss them to be honest altho its been 10 years since i had my old bass and am just getting back into it

    or what do you suggest i can use

    You will see the evolution of bridges and how it would probably be impossible to adapt an early one as a straight swap. Anything is possible with the right parts, time and/or money. EB won't sell you one, that's for sure. You'd have to get a used one (good luck!).

    Your best bet is one of the new LE models with the old bridge, to be unveiled this weekend at the Bass Player Live event. There are a couple of threads here at the moment with nice big pictures. You know you want one!

    bass mutes

    hi thanks for the info and help

    i like the stick on idea just seems expensive for what i want
    the new rays with retro look is exactly what i was after
    i'd rather keep it all looking original really so i'll have to see
