    And wrong.

How does chrome look cheap? People complained that the black battery covers look cheap, so black and chrome both look cheap?

I know, lets make a bass out of DIAMONDS.

No, actually, that would look so darn cheap.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it's the chrome battery cover...

    - just my opinion. if itīs called "classic", there should only be features that could be found on earlier basses. i would like a black one much more...whatīs the problem ?

I see your post count. If there is something about the numbers "1" and "2" that I don't get, well, I can be easily confused.

No problem! I thought it was a great first post, if you like that whole "turd in the punch bowl" approach.

Me, meh, not so much, but then I'm from the South, and we're generally just nicer, maybe.

It's called 'classic' but there are elements of the more modern instruments which improve the functionality and ease of use in addition to the classic appointments...such as the truss wheel - the older rays did not have this at all. The 6 bolt neck plate, which is better than a 3 bolt (and 4 bolt for that matter). The bridge is redesigned so it lines up with the strings, unlike the earlier variants (or at least mine was slightly to one side to compensate).

And the chrome wheel looks COOL DAMMIT!!

The chrome wheel looks great in person. The should sell them as an accessory.

    A kinder, gentler collection...

Thank God for the truss wheel! I am at the Alabama theater in Myrtle Beach and my neck is still settling a bit after coming from Cali...it did not help I played her outside in the damp cold air of South Carolina last night in a huge open tent in the middle of a field..if this bass were not so easy to adjust I would be stuck playing someone else's bass to get by as I did not bring a backup...
all I can say is they are perfect just the way they are! Of course that is just my opinion after having actually seen and played one....

    Peace,

    T

You could make a pendant or an entire necklace. Great for Christmas gifts.
