I like the "Digging in the Dirt" groove at the end.
He was the first bassist I ever saw that had a low B on a 4 string Stingray in the Early 80s.

Tony really got special skill with those sticks!

    What a perfect bass!

Is that switch position parallel mode on that beautiful BFR Sterling 5 with whole RW neck?

Great clip. Really down to earth fellow, Tony. I´ve had the great pleasure of spending time with him and his fellow mates in StickMen these last days since they where a part of the IB Expo in Halmstad, Sweden, last week and they also played at a jazz club here in Stockholm yesterday. Good fun. Really talanted and friendly lads indeed. Inspiring. Thanks for posting the clip.

    Sincerely//Jan

    Thanks for posting Derek,
I met Tony on a Tim Finn gig along with David Rhodes and Jerry Marotta. One of the nicest and sincere bassists I have met.
It was his last night of the tour in Atlanta and was on his way to the airport to join Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, Howe for rehearsals in 1987. What a great life.

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

Yeah, I mean you'd think someone would have given him lessons in that wouldn't you.

Good job the internet is full of experts who can tell him where he's going wrong!

I know it is a silly thing to point out, but I have almost never forgotten to tuck my cable. The odd time that I have, me or some other musician steps on my cable and unplugs me.
Tony seems to have some kind of power of not stepping on his own damn cable. Every video, and every time I seen him play live he either has wireless (as BP points out) or wired with the cable dangling out there for all the world to trip on.
It's cool, I promise to leave him alone about it if he will stop refering to Kingston as Woodstock.
