I have to take some pictures in daylight, but the days have been rather dark this week with lots of snow.

I had a little time to play at the weekend and took turns with the Bongo and the SR5.

From the overall feel I am more used to the Stingray shape. The Bongo feels different on the strap and I will have to get comfortable with it first. It feels good, but especially the right hand position still feels a little strange.

The rosewood neck and finish on the sr5 feels superior to the Bongo neck, which is no surprise as you can feel the perfection in the bfr. The Bongo neck plays as good and I can have an even lower action on it.

Soundwise is where the Bongo scores. With everything set flat it is by far the most impressive sounding bass I own. And it is true that you can spend your first days with just playing with the blend knob. This bass is so powerful, but you all know that already. It has the best harmonics I ever got out of any bass, closely followed by the Big Al.

The SR5 is capable of some more organic sounds, especially in switch position 2 and 4 , but when A/Bed to the Bongo you would need different amp settings to make it sound that strong.

That been said I think I will have my eyes open for a bongo bfr rosewood neck, which I belive to be the perfect blend of both worlds.

Thanks to Big Poppa and the EBMM team for doinig what they do. Keep on doing it!

I am getting more and more used to the bongo. band practice was canceled yesterday so I had some spare time to play along to some AWD, Dazz and other old funk and soul stuff.

The Bongo does this pretty well with a little trebble cut, low mid and bass boost and a tiny bit of blend to the neck. Still happy every day about it.
