I have owned my Sterling for nearly 16 years. The date on the neck is 7/8/93.
I bought it used at a rest stop on the Merritt Parkway in CT. $600 with an EBMM gig bag.
I have played at least 750 gigs with it.
I oiled/waxed the neck exactly once.
I wash my hands at least once per day.
I tweak the truss rod pretty regularly-it's no big deal. I'm a musician, and I know how to deal with my instrument.
Just sayin'.
