    Beautiful!!!!

These basses are beautiful, will it be possible to get these with a 3 band eq and HH config? If not that's ok.

Take a close look at the bridge of the bass. The small rectangular rubber foam pads you can see are the mutes.

They have a dial-up screw which raises the pad until it touches the string. This then "mutes" the sustain of the string and muffles it (removes some of the bright overtones) so you get a stronger, thumpier fundamental tone... think palm muting.

The mutes on my EBMM Sabre aren't as effective at producing an upright thump as the mutes on my Rick3nback3r 4003 (active vs passive and totally different sonic territory), but they are still fun to play with and a useful addition to the versatility of the instrument.

    Cheers

Why do you say it's a joke?? Big Poppa is unveiling the new bass models for NAMM. It's very real.

This definitely feeds my "less is more" philosophy as the pickup switch is gone.
