hmmmm.... i gotta say, from my not so distant experience, the ba5's & sr5's seem to fit pretty dammed well on the charts as they currently are ( / were?). call me superstitious as a redhead from texas but never missipsspissi (right...same thing), but im kinda afraid a 19mm spacing would throw everything all off. had i either time, or inclination to measure stupid sh!t like that (if i knew for sure i was alone), and then naturally HAD to ask for a way better life changing upgrade option, i reckon i would ask for smaller spacing so maybe i could jam more of my big al stank-ray right up in the hot100.
ps....no one has mentioned the funny head stock so far.
as always...y.m.m.v.,
love craig.
i check pm's and or email me craig@thecraigblog.com ...always happy to talk MusicMan / M.B.

Hmmm, ...Classic Sterling 5 ???
If available in natural finish and flame maple neck, ...why not?
I think mute pads are not necessary too!
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.
Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck
Heinz The Wonder Bass, going back to Jack...
no just having fun...everybody can design...its just something that Im not going to get sucked into when I take the time to explain it always turns into an argument.....look at the 19mm deal instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt or just letting me make what I pay for I get slammed my family gets slammed so when someone tells me how to do it I go to humor mode

Upon further review, I have to agree that the headstock on the Big Al needs to be the way it is. It has to have that signature to make it part of the family. Kinda like if one kid gets a nose job, where the nose was the only family trait.

True, but not if it totally changes the look of the child, so there is no resemblance to the parent.
WOW, this is pretty deep stuff huh? LOL

trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!
