Hello to my fat-stringed brethren (and sistren)

    Howdy.

This is my first post on the bass side. I'm from the guitar side. I switched to EBMM a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. The bass player with whom I play on a nightly basis plays a SR5 and the bassist with whom I play on a weekly basis has just decided to join the EBMM family and is looking at the Bongo 5. Hopefully this thread will bring him to the forums.

I have a request from you all. Could those of you who have pics of your Bongo 5 post pics so that he can compare color options? He's currently leaning toward Sapphire Black, Stealth Black or possibly Sterling Silver. Also, could you give a shout out and welcome Keith?

    Thanks guys and gals.

    Cheers!

There a thread about all the colors of balls here. You can get your bassist to compare it all here

or ask fogman (aka foggy). last time i heard he had over 30.000 eb related images

ps: welcome to the dark side

    MrM
just put flats on the bongo!!
just put roundwounds on your fretless!!

    eb customer support:
    E-mail: musicman_customerservice@ernieball.com
    Telephone: +1 866-823-2255

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

I think his mailbox might be full. I'll start a "Hey Foggy" thread.

Ashlin, thanks so much for posting that thread. That's awesome.

    Thanks for the help!
