Strange, but I find her attractive...

Although I can't say I've ever heard any of her songs.

I kinda like everything Lady Gaga does. I mean, she's an okay musician (better than her music, if you know what I mean), and an average singer. But as a commodity she is absolutely brilliant. She's somehow tapped into the zeitgeist and transformed herself into this spectacularly marketable product, while simultaneously remaining true to her vision. Is it disposable pop culture nonsense? Probably. But I find her utterly compelling.

Stream the "Bad Romance" video on YouTube if you haven't seen it. Seriously, she may be this generations Warhol.

I see all the MM parts and the lamentable extras. Is that thing even playable I wonder or is it just a prop? Does she play or just hold on and swing around on it?

Here is an artist I do admire, she has a great voice and can really sing, if you go past the eccentricity of her act, you can't but realize she is the next "Madonna" in the making. Good luck to her, I say. And also great that her band plays EBMM gear.

So, basically no one read Derek's post (#3) where he says that everyone who was playing with her last summer was booted and she's gone through multiple musicians since then.
Big Al 5SSS Sunburst, rosewood fretboard, tort, EB Flats

Franken-Bongo 5 HHp (The Billy Bass), daphne blue, mint pickguard, EB flatwound strings

Franken-Bongo 5 SHp (aka Moby Dick, the White Whale), black fretted neck with a abalone pickguard, EB Slinkys and a BassMute.

GW, that is the parallel I made.... as long as she can continue to reinvent herself to continue to be relevant as culture changes... Madonna is an extremely intelligent businesswoman.

As for management booting the musicians... don't understand... don't think I want to because I'm sure it would appall me.

Sadly, to be successful these days does not necessarily mean you do good music.

The same with Madonna by the way. Great marketing, but songs nothing more than average.

(just my 2 cent, sorry for the rant)
