Possibly OT: Lady Gaga rocks a Big Al?

This is a discussion on Possibly OT: Lady Gaga rocks a Big Al? within the Music Man Basses forums, part of the Gear Talk category; Looks to me like a MM bridge, compensated nut, and the Big Al pickup config, but I could be wrong......

Yipes. I guess that's what happened to the Big AL that her bass player was using on tour last year.

The controls are by her leg, too...
Big Al 5SSS Sunburst, rosewood fretboard, tort, EB Flats

Franken-Bongo 5 HHp (The Billy Bass), daphne blue, mint pickguard, EB flatwound strings

Franken-Bongo 5 SHp (aka Moby Dick, the White Whale), black fretted neck with a abalone pickguard, EB Slinkys and a BassMute.

We sent them 3 basses to use for a 2 1/2 year tour! Most likely she took one for herself when management Kicked the band out of the gig!

Interesting but it looks like the Flat black bass we made for Tommy K while in the band!

..They have had multible backing musicians come and go since last August!

I was reading that for the UK auditions, people turned up, only to be told that the gig had already been filled....

Does look like a butchered Big Al.

    Poor guitar.

I'm just glad to see some Big Al love in an extremely popular setting.

There are some things in this world that are just plain wrong and that is one of them. I understand wanting to mod your bass but that is just a "tiny" bit over the top.
