I had a friend in college who brought a six string fretless to class one day. The Prof said something like "Well if the bass playing thing doesn't work out for you, at least you have a pretty boat paddle.", the class thought it was pretty funny.

I love it, too. If this is the one you've been waiting for all this time, looks like the wait paid off. Welcome to the DisCO'09 club (I sent you an invitation).

Love the vintage pearl PG. I was thinking of this for my own bOnGo. Hope you don't mind the copycat. Waiting patiently for the bovine's reaction. This is the config that, in his words, "slays dragons"; for some reason, I won't ever forget that.

    Thanks.
As for the wait time. I've been biting my tongue ...and I'm glad I did. I'm not going to share more negativity here. I will say that MM Customer Service seems to be stepping up to the plate admirably. I've had excellent success with MM CS in the past. That's a big reason why I stick with MM.

I would have no idea what to do with that, but it sure is impressive to look at. These Bongos are really starting to grow on me. I'll bet they sound as beastly as they look!

    Thanks for all the compliments.
In other threads where a lot of people were saying that Bongos need bright/wild colors, I was smiling inside...waiting to prove them all wrong. ...well, me an EBMM.

Very classy! I came so close to ordering my Bongo in Olive Gold but ended up going with True Gold. I would have been totally happy either way. What amazing colors on amazing basses!
