I'm not one to hero worship, but I've got to say that I'm very impressed by the Music Man product line and the company. I now own two MM basses. I traded in a Silo on my new Ray.
I think many of the people on this forum are obsessed and get carried away with their Bongos, Rays and Sterlings. It can come across as fanatical and defensive to those who have never owned one. Quite honestly, a little weird. But WOW, how can you not get excited about them? All it takes is a visit to the guitar shop to look at the competitive offerings and you realize what a deal the MM line is. The quality is consistently great, the tone is fantastic and the price is fair. Most of my experience is limited to the offerings of the six GCs in the DFW area, but MM is truly a diamond-in-the-rough.
It's nice to have access to reasonably priced guitars that are fairly available. Keep up the great work!

). I remember BP saying/implying somewhere, "C'mon guys, it's just a bass" (my paraphrase). What's cool is we're all committed to the stuff for various reasons, it draws us together like flies and we can talk about it and play with it without taking ourselves too seriously (I hope
