    Been done several times over the years. Gibson made such a beast, and in the oh-so-weird 80s there was a headless-bodyless Steinberger ripoff that had a sliding pickup.

    The results of such efforts have been underwhelming.

    Think about it... what you're going to wind up doing is putting it where it sounds best, and the people who actually know what they're doing (like BP & company) already put it there.

    I wish the BA was offered in classic colors, to me the body shape really works with those pastels!
