HELP MM S.U.B. X02 Colour / Serial No.

    Dear all,
I hope that pros can help in this case. I thank you all in advance.

I have reserved a SUB X02. All is well besides the color which seems to be different from the ones MM has painted them in. But I am not sure, since I have never seen any other SUC X02 than the one I want to buy.

    My question:
    1) Were there any colors besides black, white, red and teal Ernie Ball used on the SUB X02?

    2) The bass is in a light purple - much darker than the official "red". My reference to the "official colors" is this one:
    Buy Music Man S.U.B. X02 4-String Bass | Vault | Musician's Friend

3)Are the colors on the above mentioned web site "true"? Do I simply have a bad reference link?

4)Can anybody how owns a SUB X02 in red can send me a picture of his guitar or post it here, please?

    5) The serial number is X02357. I have already sent an inquiry to MM but did not get any response. What can I do to find if the product is OK?

    With best regards from Germany,

    Thumbs up

    Allright,

    to be more precise.

    MUSICMAN SUB4 X02357

It is a 2003 Model according to that list:
SERIALS BONGO & SUB - Musicmanbass.org, Music Man, Musicman, Music Man Bass, Musicman Bass, Music Man Guitar

IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO COULD POST A LINK TO A RED COLOR MODEL, PLEASE?

Or is a SUB4 Model just off topic in the MM Bass Thread ?

    Thanks
    E

There are a few SUB owners on the forum. I'd just give them a bit more time to see the thread and respond. A photo of the bass in question would be helpful.

I'll come out of lurk mode for this one.

The SUB was also offered in two other colors, blue and graphite. My SUB is black, but I have a SUB1 guitar in blue. It's a deep dark blue and could easily look purplish in certain lighting.

Thank you all: Bovinehost, DaveW, njhammer and scottbas71!
and special thanks to John Quinn @MMEB.
He helped me out in this regard.
He told me that -according to the serial number - the SUB4 I have on hold is a textured red and was so kind as to send me a picture of a textured red SUB5 in textured red.
Also special thanks to Musik Meyer from Marburg, Germany, who confirmed this and acknowledged the registry of the serial number.
I must confess that Ernie Ball has an excellent customer service. Especially considering the fact that I am buying a used bass. This is really a proof for a well conducted Customer Relations policy.
Though the color is still strange - but maybe that lies in the nature of the textured paint, just as scottbass71 highlights with regard to the cinnamon example.

You helped me in the decision process whether to buy or not buy the bass.

    Thank you,
    Ekkeandtheflyingtoasters
