Which MM Bass to cover Rush?

I'm wanting to cover some Rush tunes, and I want a new bass as well. I don't care for R!cs, or I could get a Geddy Sig bass, but Music Man basses are (IMO) far superior to the F-brand.

So, what MM bass do you recommend to cop some Rush tones. FWIW, I tend to gravitate towards Geddy's R!c sound.

I prefer the smaller Music Man bass necks, so I'm thinking Big AL, but I haven't been able to put my hands on one yet.

Please let me know what you think...

I was going to say a Big Al or maybe a multiple pickup Sterling might be your best bet.

I don't know guys, in my opinion the Sterling fits the bill perfectly. Tight agressive tone.

Bongo HS- tilt the balance a little to the single coil, raise the upper mids a little, adjust treble for clank. Gotta have rounds on too. It will get you close, dig in with your fingernails a little too.

I have played Rush on both a Sterling and 2-bnad Stingray live. In my opinion both can do the job, just depends mainly on your attack and your hand position in my opinion.

I can't think of any bass in the MM line-up that will prevent you from playing Geddy's lines.
