How about a True Gold/Rosewood BFR bass for us cool guys?

I occasionally stray over to the skinney string side. Seeing all the pictures of guys with a True Gold/Rosewood necked Luke has got me kinda of jealous. So i suggest the Big Poppa Bongo 4H in True Gold with a Rosewood neck in a limited run for the Premier Dealer Network. Anyone in? JOSH

True Gold and rosewood is a great combo. I was seriously tempted to order a Bongo 4H in that color when they did the rosewood neck limited run a couple of years ago. Stupid lack of funds. Although I ended up getting my roasted Big Al in the next limited run, so no complaints here.
    My EB basses:
    30th Anniversary Stingray
    lined fretless honeyburst Sterling
BFR Big Al 4H w/roasted maple neck package

just put flats on the bongo!!

    trussrod adjustment:
less relief / flatter = lower action
more relief / bow = higher action
do NOT use cheap tools to adjust with. they might break and scrape up your pressious!
also, if you are lucky enough to have a 100th namm sr4: the truss works the other way around on that one!

I have a TG Luke at my place that I will be taking over to the UK in September for my skinny-string-playing buddy (does the "no pic - no guitar policy count???). Beautiful instrument. The rosewood neck is phenomenal and the TG color is stunning. Although I'm a SR5 player, it would work great on a Bongo 5 IMHO.

I didn't go for true gold with rosewood, simply because it was too common Speaks volumes of me I guess, but I'm happy with my black/tort/rosewood Bongo 5 HH
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

    Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck
Heinz The Wonder Bass, going back to Jack...
