That Bongo looks very pretty. I am going to bring that to the NAMM show. Thanks!

Hey Mark, Tort on the RB looks great!
On the 'Ray...in two minds. I think the Black pg may have the edge over the Tort. But it looks great anyways![]()
.
The Stingray looks good and I like it. The Rolls Burgandy Bongo is just awesome!!! I didn't really like that color before. Now it rocks!![]()
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

Oh HELL yes.
Thumbs up on both. The tort on black look is always a winner, especially on Jazz basses, but whoa - looks righteous on that Stingray.
I've fallen in love with the Rolls Burgundy finish now. Thank you for complicating my life, danged old Kangaroo Eater.
ill have you know that only people from QLD, SA, VIC, TAS, ACT, NT, and WA eat roos.

In case anybody missed the other post, I'm selling the original black pearloid pickguard and the brand new (plastic film still intact) white pickguard I bought from Ernie Ball. $25 each including air mail postage worldwide. Bryan Boots is selling H and HS pickguards, but not HH.

A bit off topic: I remember seeing an aged white/cream sort of finish with a tort pickguard. It looked like flesh was torn open where the pickguard was. Hehehe. Anyway, the rolls burgundy looks great with that 'guard!
Edit: Hey, that bass is actually your white/cream finished fretless StingRay! Interesting look!![]()
is that 25 AUD? cause ill buy the black one.
would you be able to take some pics of it for me please?
front, back, and the screw holes. please![]()

Just to clarify, only the two Bongo guards are for sale. Both are HH - black pearloid, and white

I didn't think the Rolls Burgandy would look THAT hot with the tort. Wow Tort on black is a classic. Always loved the tort although the guard on mine is white.
You've finally made me a fan of the RB finish with the tort guard. I still think mint would look pretty sweet with that finish, too, though.
And, how can you go wrong with tort/black? That's right--you can't.
I think I'm going to have to get a tort guard for the white whale sooner than later now.....

Bryan makes his pickguards when he has an original to make a template from. He won't be making HH Bongo pickguards until someone sends him one to use as a template. Once he gets his first HH customer, he will be setup to make them.Originally Posted by TheAntMan

Kinda off topic, but here goes:
I noticed on some pickguards, there are three layers of ply (ex. black, white, black or white, black, white) that sometimes don't match the look of a bass the respective pickguard is on. Now, I noticed a while back in one of Bovine's pics of his Bongos that a pickguard like "Black Ice" or something didn't have this three-layer ply thing going on. It looked real nice and matched real well with the Bongo it was on. I asked him about it and he replied that the particular pickguard was from the factory.
Does the EBMM factory provide this kind of... um... "edge finish" on all the pickguards? Reason why I'm asking is because I think some pickguards would look better so much better with just the "raw material" per se as the "edge finish."
Eek. Sorry I made up all those terms. I don't know the proper terminlogies for such.![]()
