    Whoa!

Wish I have known that back then. The strings would break at the bridge and I had a badass bridge on that Jazz bass!

I currently have a badass II on my latest Jazz bass and have had no problems over the last 15+ years with it. Guess they must have improved the design on the BA II models.

I won't have to worry about it now that I have become an EBMM family member

Still jam my J-bass though. That may change once I get the Burnt Apple SR4 from Joel
The surest way to fail is not to try.

One of the reasons I played Blue Steels for so long was the fact that I picked up 8 sets on Ebay for $40. I had played them once before that and liked them so I though "what the hell".
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

I used to break a string about once a week when I played with a pick in hard rock bands years ago. Def played too hard and used those thick Dunlop Tortex picks.

Actually I used to face this problem with my StingRay.

The G string saddle was eating the string so it always broke at tat point. It seems now that after a few string changes, the saddle became leaner.
