Black Cherry Burst with Metallic 'flake' or undertones...is that standard?

    Hey All,

Was playing a used Stingray at a shop yesterday...black cherry burst - 3-band, modern bridge etc.....but the finish had the metallic flake or undertone thing going on that reminded me of a late 90s/early 2000s finish....

Looked very similar to the one posted in the finish thread except for these metallic flakes or sparkles.. (lol it feels silly to type sparkles)

Anyways - I was just wondering if the current ones have that going on or if it was a period thing......

If I am not mistaken, that was a colour called Burnt Apple. And yes, it had sparkles.
