    Yup that stuff is ALMOST off now... I changed the strings to EBMM Hybrid Steels, cleaned the fretboard & then said screw it, writing is coming off as it was probably 20% gone already.

    I just rubbed it off with a damp cloth... but theres probably 10% left that wouldn't come off. I'll give it some time & scrub again.

    rubbing alcohol will remove the sharpie residue

    Thanks guys, the Black Ice pickguard from Perfectbass just looks great with the Sterling Silver. I've had the bass for about a month but just got the pickguard in so I was for pics

    Sounds better than it looks!
