Blue sparkle stingray not the Sterling line?

I was looking on line yesterday and came across a 4 hh stingray in this dark blue heavy sparkle finish with a roasted maple neck and f-board. Does anyone know if this is an available color choice or do you think it is a custom/aftermarket finish? Did not know if this was a new color or what but the bass looked great! I would post a pic but I cannot find the link.

EBMM did sparkle finishes for years. That doesn't mean it's a factory finish, but it does mean it's possible. Although not with a roasted neck. Those came way after the sparkles were gone.

That sounds like a bass I would like to own! If you find the picture, please post it. HH basses came after the sparkles were gone as well if I remember correctly so this is indeed an unique beast.

I have searched for this thing with no luck. I think it was a for sale bass. You just have to see this thing, it is just killer and different. I will keep looking.

I'm willing to bet someone had a BFR Roasted neck and re-sprayed the body. I just can't see too many people selling off a Roasted neck to use as a parts bass.

I found that bass and it is not a sparkle. It is a BFR and I will try to post a pic.

I wonder if that one was a Guitar Center exclusive roasted neck?

Yeah that's what it appears to be : a GC special color and all Maple neck of the Roasted Run. They also had them in a Honey Sunburst with all Maple or a Rosewood board in addition to the Black Sugar Roasted with the Ebony board.

That is one very nice looking bass. MM definitely knows what they are doing to make these basses look awesome and give us all a case of GAS so bad no even a large bottle of extra strength Beano can cure it.
