    Saddle rash

hey EB guys, what is the odds of getting a burs in one of the saddles? because on my SUB i put 3 sets of strings on it before i realised that it had 3 burs!!! G, D and A all had burrs!?

    so...

$180 AUD later, i have a bass that im afraid to play because it is costing me too much money...

but it sounds great, and this is just my little personal bitch so that i can get over it.

    thanks for listening

A friend of mine has a sub and he had a problem with his bridge as well, not burs but he leaned over and one of the saddle screws just fell out, wasnt sticking out or ne thing, but it simply fell right out when he leaned over

you could try a file and gently file it down so its smooth. or look at the bottom side and see if its burred, if its not just flip it over. you might also look at replacing the saddle itself.
