"BlueJack" Martini Recipe for BP and Dargin

Actually, this is for anyone who likes good vodka drinks.

    2 shots vodka
1 shot grapefruit juice (not pink)
about a cap full of blue curacao, maybe a bit less

Combine the above in a shaker of ice and agitate until your hand hurts.

Hint: you should use only enough blue curacao to turn the mixture a bit darker than sea foam green.

My belief is that the grapefruit is tart enough to mask the taste of the vodka and the curacao is sweet enough to tame the grapefruit, so you end up with a very neutral martini that will kick your butt and taste really fine.

Try it and let me know.

Right now, I'm having the "Simple Jack" martini - bunch of Ciroc vodka (highly recommended French vodka made from grapes), one spray of vermouth, a bit of lime juice (not enough to cloud the vodka) and cold, cold, cold, as Lowell George once said.

Cheers and a good weekend to all!

    Jack

I am passing this along to one slightly bleary eyed drummer friend who exists in an advanced state of hilarity. This recipe could become a dangerous thing in his hands

No martinis here, but the wife and I split a delicous bottle of wine last night. I believe it was "Wrongo Dongo", although I'm not knowledgable enough about wino to know what that means...

Started with a Kenwood Zinfandel and finished up with a Knob Creek Bourbon on the rocks last night. But I will have to try out that "BlueJack" very soon. Thanks Jack.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.
