    Hi Joel,

I spent a week up there in 2000. I thought it was a beautiful place to visit but not much to do. Not much live music or music stores for that matter. I hope it works out for you, but it still seems to have a small town vibe. I liked Birch Bay and the fact you could get to Canada very easily was nice.

Let us know how you like it there.

Sorry Joel, not a whole lotta info. on Bellingham but I'm about 45min. away in Langley BC and it is really quick and easy to get up to Vancouver. I have heard of a little pub that usually gets some pretty amazing bands/artists in but as for the scene in Bellingham.... it's ogt a Krispy Kreme that close (in Burlington)
good luck with the move though, have a safe and packing tape filled one

Hey I lived in Seattle for 8 years. Bellingham is not the most jumpin' place I've ever been by a long shot, but it does have a really nice quiet feel. I know it's not exactly next to it, but Seattle is a great city. It has everything you could ever want to do, tons of local bands, nightlife, ...anything. Maybe you could hop down there on weekiends or something. Also check out the Gorge Ampatheatre. They get huge bands to come all the time.

    Good luck man
