Probably not long. They refretted a sterling I had and had it back to me in a week.

I usually turn stuff like that around the same day I get it. keep in mind that I am the only repair guy, and I also build all the artist instruments, and things sometimes get very busy, but for a preamp replacement, it's a quick turnaround

and dont forget ... if you send the bass in and Jon pimps it you're gonna owe him a beer. Jon's trying to break the world record for "most beers owed" and "most places in the world you can get free beer at" ... so ya ... beer is good

    NOTE: this post was dumb

I've seen dumber so don't sweat it.

Beer as a currency seems like a good platform to me.

100% Agave Azul would be even better

    Absolutely!

Unfortunately it might be tough to swing for me this year - it's a bit of a hike for me from NJ and I already have the family vacation to Orlando booked for late August.

But it's an awesome idea and a great opportunity so I'm still hopeful - waiting to hear what the final plans are.

Awesome, hopefully I'll have my sub back sometime in the next week. I took it to GC last wednesday and they sent it out for me, but who knows when they actually got around to sending it.
