I had those made after a trip to japan where I was stuck in a mini van for a four hour ride to a hot spring. Thats a good story in itself....The women wore bathing suits the men wore their birthday suits....I was the only American........THe water was sooooooo hot I couldnt get in for about ten minutes It was like that old Saturday night Live with Eddie Murphy doing James Brown in the hot tub...Too Hot...... I don't think that those Japanese women are all that impressed with American Men after that.Japan is our biggest market, I wouldn't do that for my deat Australian distributors.

Anyways they were Zippo crazy chain smoking lunatics. In between the on-set of first stage emphasemia, and sore eyed haze (i don't smoke) I got the idea to made music man zippos....we also made some Ernie Ball ones, but they really sold well overseas.

    Hi BP

    That zippo looks great!!!

Of course it now has me thinking...uh,oh!...A metallic Gold color plated pickguard with that logo on it for forum members only that fit Stingrays and Stirlings

    That would rock!!

    Just thinking out loud

Just, thought that Stingrays and Sterlings (also single pickup Bongos) would have enough room on the pickguard to see the image. My 4HH Bongo does not seem to leave much room on the pickguard.

btw...maybe could have black pickguards with image etched into it?!?

I actually know Pat Bonham (Australian Ernie Ball distributor) and he's one of the most approachable and nicest guys in the industry. He thinks I'm a Music Man nut but that's a compliment right?

Pat and I go back to when I was in high school!

Patr has brought Biff Baby's Allstars to Australia Thta particular lie up was great Albert Lee Steve Morse John Ferraro on drums Jim Cox on Keyboards, BP on Bass, Sherwood Ball Vocals......A few years later I toured with Albert and Ferraro and an Aussie Keyboard player. One of the highlights was getting a review in the Sydney Herald that Identified me as Bassist/Humorist!

Pat is a great guy but If you see him Colin get him on the board he could add alot.

P.S. ask him how his pathetic golf game is.

In that case you'll be wanting to travel to Europe, where nekkidness in mixed spas and saunas is the norm for both sexes.
