well I guess when you got a good product someone always wants to make a few quid out of it.....without having to come up with their own ideas, r and d and marketing.......
Best thing is not to buy from vultures....sorry was that a bit harsh?

Well, I certainly wouldn't call him a vulture. If he prefers a different preamp, he's more than entitled to install it. And, if he paid for the bass, he's more than entitled to sell part, or all of it. What do idea,s r&d, and marketing have to do with selling it?

I just wish I'd checked the classifieds earlier so I could get a Bongo preamp for $100.

I'm interested to see/hear what he put into his Bongo, I've even wondered what mine would sound like with a Demeter or Aguilar in it.

Well, he could have just bought it for its looks. Make it yours, ya know? I drilled 3/8" holes in both of my Bongos to install flushmount Dunlop straplocks.

That's interesting. I wonder how the new owner fit it into any other bass - the Bongo preamp is actually three circuit boards bolted onto an irregularly shaped piece of metal:

Maybe he's hoping for a Bongo-SUB that he can slap it in!

This month, actually! NAMM's gonna be held on July 21-3, so I'd imagine you could order them on the 24th.
