Well, I certainly wouldn't call him a vulture. If he prefers a different preamp, he's more than entitled to install it. And, if he paid for the bass, he's more than entitled to sell part, or all of it. What do idea,s r&d, and marketing have to do with selling it?Originally Posted by roballanson

I'm interested to see/hear what he put into his Bongo, I've even wondered what mine would sound like with a Demeter or Aguilar in it.

That's interesting. I wonder how the new owner fit it into any other bass - the Bongo preamp is actually three circuit boards bolted onto an irregularly shaped piece of metal:
