These two basses don't belong in the same zipcode

So, I am borrowing Larry's DG Bongo5 while he has my SR5. After I get done playing last night, I set the Bongo on my spare instrument stand next to my Reverend, and the uglyness starts These two basses, in these colors should not be within the same Zip, let alone one foot of each other. I am not actually a big fan of the Desert Gold, but I am really not a big fan of it next to Dragonfly Green.

However, I think candy apple red would look rather nice in that position...

I see no problem whatsoever there except for that funny light wood on the neck of that Fish.

Hold on just a darn minute there fella. He's borrowing the Bongo. No need to ditch the fish just yet. Anyway, I happen to know that he wants a fretless Bongo. I just thought he might like to get a feel for the power and I'm planning to play my SR5 this weekend.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

Hmmmm... That photo is a great "Where we've been, where we're going" moment in time.

So, you've only pulled half the frets off so far right? *snicker*

I'm holding the lavender pearl SR5 hostage while he had the Bongo. I haven't had a chance to play it yet and I probably won't until tomorrow evening. (Don't worry Beth, it's in good hands.) We were at the Cowpilot gig last Saturday and I mentioned that I had never had the chance to play a fretless bass. Being the gracious person that he is, Paul offered to loan me his to try it out. Not wanting to be outdone, I offered up my Bongo for him to try while I had the fretless. Can it get any better than this?
