He plays Warwick thumb basses. I believe he probably uses the 34" scale version but they just started offering the bolt-on versions in 35".
If he can do it, maybe I'm not too far off if find the right G string to use(yeah yeah I know).

I know Ryan uses Warwicks, just the guys arond here don't care for that word to much. So I didn't use it. But If he can do it, so can you. I know for his four string basses he uses a 105 - 50 string set so maybe that will help you figure out what you need.
