Crazy? Not really. I think it depends on a couple things.
1. How much time you've spent with a Bongo
2. The likelihood you'll regret selling your Ray
I LOVE the bongo, others love the bongo but some people just prefer the sound of a Ray. If you can, I'd try to save up for the Bongo and keep your Ray until you can make the decision that the Bongo is the bass for you. You might get the Bongo and not look back, but I'd hate for you to let go of a bass that seems to mean alot to you and then decide the Bongo might not be your bag.

I'm not 100% sold on it, but if anyone wants to trade a SC/H Bongo 5 for a sweet SR5, let me know.
These are the times that try men's souls. A mystery wrapped in an enigma, or perhaps a tortilla.Am I silly or should I seriously consider this action?
Who knows? I love my SR5 but my Bongos get all the action. Even I don't know what that means.
It's not an Oakland either way you slice it...
